​Dooleys Masonry provides brick and block- laying to commercial and residential clients, including new homes, renovations, commercial structures, and government infrastructure.

​Cleaning & Sealing oamaru stone

​Regular maintenance is crucial to preserving the natural beauty and integrity of your Oamaru Stone.
At Dooleys we specialise in the cleaning & sealing process.
We start with treating the stone with a solution that kills the moss, mould, & any organic material growing in the stone.
The stone is then steam cleaned. This is a gentler way of washing the stone rather than water blasting. This will remove dirt, dead moss & mould from the stone, which lightens it. The stone is then left to dry for at least a couple weeks, weather dependant before sealing. Once cleaned & sealed the stone should last up to 10 years with regular maintenance.
